Do you sell compact cassette tapes?
Unfortunately, no. There are a handful companies still producing new stock of compact cassette tapes Type I (ferric oxide) and Type II (chromium dioxide). One example is Recording The Masters in France.
To our knowledge in 2021, there is no company on earth manufacturing new compact cassette tapes Type IV (metal). Which is super sad 🙁 IF you know one, please let us know!
How does Music Enchantment work?
This is our super NON-SCIENTIFIC(!) explanation: think of an audio file on your computer. It consists out of digital bits and bytes. They all live, so to say, on the GRID like in the original movie TRON. They never experienced REAL life or sunlight.
Music Enchantment is like when Quorra got downloaded to the REAL world in TRON: Legacy and for the first time feels the sun on her face. It is THAT smile 🙂
I want Enchantment for my music. What do I do?
The basic process is:
- Collide with us/ say Hi! via the provided form.
- We give you feedback about our workload/ how long it will take to enchant your music and send you our offer.
- You provide a download link to a ZIP file with your audio data and hereby “place your order”.
- We send you an invoice and start working after it is fully payed.
- You receive a download link to a ZIP with your enchanted music.
What equipment do you use?
The German setup is based around Macs and the latest Universal Audio Apollo Thunderbolt audio interfaces. Tape decks are mainly from ReVox (Studer) and fully professionally revised. They are basically new.
The Japanese setup is currently moving places. Tape decks are mainly professional Tascam machines.
We will ONLY use REAL compact cassette tape with REAL hardware tape decks!
